Overview

Amritsar Airport to Manali is about 400 km and 9–10.5 hours, one of the longest single transfers we offer. The scenic way runs north to Pathankot, through the Kangra valley past Palampur and Baijnath, down to Mandi, then up the Beas valley to Manali. We strongly suggest splitting it: Dharamshala or Bir make a natural overnight halfway, and turn a gruelling day into two of the best driving days in Himachal. If you want it in one go, we'll start at dawn and plan proper meal stops.

Chandigarh to Shimla is only about 115 km, yet one-way taxi quotes vary from under ₹2,000 to nearly ₹6,000, sometimes from the same company.
