About Naina Devi for road travellers

Naina Devi is a hilltop temple in Bilaspur district, at about 1,177 m, overlooking the Govind Sagar reservoir and close to Anandpur Sahib in Punjab. Shri Naina Devi Ji is one of Himachal's best-known Shakti Peeths, reached by an 18 km hill road from Kiratpur Sahib and then on foot or by ropeway from the lower parking area. The temple trust lists long daily darshan hours, extended during the Navratri fairs in March–April and July–August, when crowds are very large. It's the usual first stop on the Himachal Devi darshan.
